Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Head Baker to lead our culinary team in a dynamic food service environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for baking and food preparation, and extensive knowledge of the food industry. This role involves overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring food safety standards, and delivering exceptional customer service. The Head Baker will be instrumental in maintaining high-quality standards, innovating menu offerings, and fostering a positive team atmosphere.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise the kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and presentation
Oversee cake decorating, baking, and food presentation to meet quality standards
Manage food handling procedures in compliance with safety regulations
Coordinate food preparation activities, including cooking and packaging of baked goods and other menu items
Ensure adherence to food safety protocols and sanitation standards
Assist in menu development and innovate new recipes to enhance customer experience
Provide training and mentorship to team members on food industry best practices
Maintain inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as needed
Deliver excellent customer service by engaging with guests and addressing their needs professionally
Monitor kitchen operations for efficiency, cleanliness, and safety

Requirements

Proven experience in a leadership role within a restaurant or bakery setting
Strong background in cake decorating, baking, and food preparation
Knowledge of the food industry standards, including food safety and handling procedures
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
Experience with kitchen operations, including cooking, packaging, and food presentation
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Kitchen experience with proficiency in food industry best practices is essential
Food safety certification or training is preferred but not mandatory
Ability to lead by example, motivate staff, and foster a collaborative team environment

Pay: $22.00-$30.00 per hour
