JOB OVERVIEW

Ontario Power Generation (OPG) is looking for a dynamic, strategic and results-driven professional to join our team in the role of Senior Manager, Strategic Initiatives.

Reporting to the Director RG Programs & Strategy, this position is responsible for fleet programs and initiatives supporting the Operations & Maintenance organization within OPG’s Renewable Generation division.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Support the continuous improvement and execution of RG’s Work Management, Conduct of Operations, and Conduct of Maintenance programs.
Develop and monitor KPIs in the above 3 programs as well as work protection, corrective actions, amongst others.
Foster strong working relationships with internal stakeholders (e.g., Eastern Operations, Western Operations, Niagara Operations, Environment, Health & Safety, Regulatory Affairs, and Engineering) and external partners (e.g., industry associations, vendors) to advance RG performance and excellence initiatives.
Project manage or support high-impact initiatives across departments, including negotiations with external stakeholders or advisors.
Develop monthly briefing materials and analysis for senior management, providing recommendations on opportunities and risks.
Strengthen strategic alignment and cooperation across Corporate Strategy, Finance, Business Development teams and Regulatory Affairs to ensure cohesive planning and execution across the RG portfolio.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field; or College Diploma in Technology or a related field.
Minimum 6–8 years of progressive experience in operations, maintenance, or business development.
Demonstrated knowledge of hydroelectric or similar industry
Advanced proficiency in tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, and business intelligence platforms (e.g., Power BI).
Ability to synthesize large volumes of information and translate into actionable strategy.
Strong interpersonal skills and political acumen when working with internal and external stakeholders.
