Location: Royal Ashburn Golf Club – 995 Myrtle Road West, Ashburn, ON
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary: $50,000 – $60,000 per year

Join Our Culinary Team:

Royal Ashburn Golf Club is looking for an experienced and passionate Sous Chef to help lead our kitchen team. This is an exciting opportunity for a culinary professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys mentoring others, and takes pride in creating exceptional dining experiences.

Working closely with the Head Chef, you'll play a key role in daily kitchen operations, supporting the team, maintaining high food quality standards, and helping deliver memorable experiences for our members and guests.

What You'll Be Doing:

As our Sous Chef, you'll help oversee the day-to-day operation of the kitchen, including:

Assisting the Head Chef with food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management
Leading and supporting kitchen staff during service to ensure smooth operations
Maintaining consistent food quality, presentation, and portion standards
Ensuring all food handling and preparation practices meet food safety regulations
Managing inventory levels, ordering supplies, and monitoring ingredient storage
Training, mentoring, and developing junior kitchen team members
Maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment
Collaborating with management and the culinary team on menu development and operational improvements
Supporting a positive, team-focused culture that delivers exceptional guest experiences

What We're Looking For:

We're looking for someone who brings both culinary expertise and leadership skills to the table.

Qualifications & Experience:

Previous experience in a Sous Chef, Kitchen Supervisor, or similar leadership role
Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations
Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team in a fast-paced environment
Experience with inventory management, ordering, and staff training
Thorough understanding of food safety and sanitation standards
Restaurant, hospitality, or catering experience preferred
A passion for quality food, teamwork, and delivering outstanding service
