Overview

Front of House Team Member

Lloyd's Lunchbox is a busy, family-run sandwich shop in Downtown Whitby serving house-made sandwiches, soups, salads, and good conversation.

We're looking for a Front of House Team Member to join our team. This is a part-time position to start, with the potential for additional hours as we continue to grow.

What you'll be doing:

Greeting guests and creating a welcoming experience
Taking orders and handling payments
Preparing drinks and assisting with light food prep
Maintaining a clean, organized dining room and service area
Restocking, cleaning, and helping wherever needed throughout the day
Working closely with a small team in a fast-paced environment

The right person for this role:

Enjoys interacting with people and providing genuine hospitality
Is dependable and takes pride in showing up prepared and on time
Can stay productive during both busy rushes and quieter moments
Notices what needs to be done without waiting to be asked
Works well as part of a close-knit team
Is comfortable receiving feedback and learning new skills
Can maintain a positive, professional attitude under pressure

Availability:

Strong weekend availability is highly valued and will be given priority during the hiring process
Availability during weekdays is an asset
Typical shifts fall between 9:00 AM and 4:30 PM, closed on Mondays
