Position: P&D Driver
Location: Surrey B.C.
Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 – 17:00, Weekends as required

Roles & Responsibilities:·

This is a Permanent position with no less than 40 hours per week
Cover Vacations/Sick Days/Overflow, with the possibility of a full-time position in the future
If there is no driving work, there might be warehouse work available
Use pulse scanner for all required activities on the daily route; all scannable waybills, laser waybills, and shipper’s own bar-coded labels must be scanned
Delivery of all assigned material in the route area, within the specific requirements of both customer and Canpar Express Inc.
Ability & willingness to drive in rural areas, inclement weather, winter conditions
Pick up all assigned customer pick-ups within the specific guidelines of Customers and Canpar Express Inc.
Compile and submit accurate route records daily

Accountabilities/Results

Responsible for internal and external customer satisfaction
Professional representation of Canpar Express Inc. at all times, including the maintenance and presentation of vehicles, uniform, etc.
On-time pick-up and delivery of customer shipments
Interact effectively with other members of the customer service and operation teams

Qualifications:

Excelled area knowledge
Ability to operate commercial equipment
Class 5 Driver’s License (required) with clean drivers abstract with maximum 3 infraction points allowed
Be able to safely operate a 5ton, ¾ ton van or Gruman (Step Side).
Criminal record check & Reference check is required for this position

Preferred:

Previous delivery experience
Warehouse experience (an asset, but not required)
