Alliance Refractories is currently seeking a Warehouse Helper I for our West Edmonton facility.

Key Responsibilities:

Accurately ship and receive materials.
Store received materials in proper locations.
Loading and unloading trucks.
Maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
Sort, tag and distribute incoming shipments.
Report quality variances.
Ensure pallets and loads are built correctly.
Support inventory control with accurate documentation.
Confirm inventory transactions are complete.
Ensure all paperwork is complete to standard.
Perform routine inspections on forklifts.
Maintain an organized work area according to policies, procedures and safety regulations.
Participate in clean-up of yard and facility.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Operate lifting devices (i.e. forklifts, hoists, elevating platforms, lift beams and swivel hooks).

Minimum Requirements:

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a warehouse/shipping environment.
Previous forklift experience and valid forklift certification required.
High school diploma.
Must possess a valid driver's license.
Must be detail oriented and able to maintain high standards of accuracy.
Knowledge of safe lifting and handling procedures.
Ability to walk and/or stand for long periods of time.
Ability to carry and move equipment and/or supplies up to 55 pounds.
Ability to perform all duties in accordance with Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Act.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to determine the correct tools and equipment needed to complete a task.
Able to effectively communicate, follow and understand verbal and written directions.
Availability to work weekends and overtime is a mandatory requirement for this position.
