Overview

Join our vibrant retail team as a Retail Sales Associate and become the friendly face that helps customers discover the perfect products to enhance their outdoor spaces and lifestyle. In this dynamic role, you will engage with customers, provide expert advice on gardening, horticulture, and landscape maintenance, and ensure an exceptional shopping experience. Your enthusiasm for retail sales and customer service will drive sales growth and foster lasting relationships with our diverse clientele. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in merchandising, cash handling, and e-commerce while working in a lively environment dedicated to outdoor beauty and sustainability.

Duties

Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting gardening tools, plants, landscape supplies, and related products.
Provide expert advice on horticulture practices, landscape maintenance techniques, and gardening solutions tailored to customer needs.
Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently for transactions including cash handling, credit card processing, and receipts.
Maintain attractive product displays through effective merchandising strategies to maximize sales opportunities.
Support inventory management by organizing stock, conducting stock counts, and replenishing shelves as needed.
Assist customers with online orders and e-commerce inquiries to ensure seamless shopping experiences both in-store and digitally.
Promote additional products or services such as landscaping consultations or gardening workshops to increase sales revenue.

Experience

Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is highly desirable; enthusiasm for outdoor living, gardening, or horticulture is a plus.
Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and basic merchandising techniques.
Strong communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a valuable asset for serving diverse customer bases.
Knowledge of landscape maintenance, gardening practices, or horticulture enhances your ability to advise customers effectively.
Organizational skills to manage inventory, keep displays tidy, and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Experience with e-commerce platforms or online sales processes is beneficial but not required.
Ability to work flexible hours including weekends to meet store needs and customer demands.
