About Us

Lucky Supermarket is a growing Asian and multicultural grocery retailer with locations across Edmonton, Calgary, Winnipeg, and Surrey. We are looking for a creative and motivated Marketing & Content Creator to join our team and help showcase our stores, products, events, and community through engaging content and marketing initiatives.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys photography, videography, graphic design, social media, and creative storytelling.

Position Summary

The Marketing & Content Creator will support the marketing team by creating content for social media, assisting with graphic design projects, capturing photo and video content, and promoting company events, products, and initiatives.

The successful candidate will participate in store visits, community events, seasonal campaigns, and special projects throughout the year. This position requires creativity, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn and adapt as marketing trends and projects evolve.

Key Responsibilities

Content Creation & Social Media

Create engaging content for social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, WeChat, RED (Xiaohongshu), and other emerging platforms
Assist with content planning and scheduling
Create social media posts, reels, stories, and short-form videos
Monitor social media trends and contribute new ideas for content and campaigns
Support social media engagement and community interaction when required

Photography & Videography

Capture high-quality photos and videos of products, store displays, food items, staff, customers, and company events
Edit photos and videos for use across social media, websites, digital advertising, and promotional materials
Assist with creating behind-the-scenes content, promotional videos, and event coverage

Graphic Design & Marketing Support

Design flyers, posters, signage, social media graphics, digital advertisements, and promotional materials
Assist with branding and creative development for future projects and campaigns
Support product launches, seasonal promotions, and special events
Maintain brand consistency across all marketing materials

Event & Community Marketing

Attend company events, community functions, grand openings, and promotional activities
Capture event content for marketing and social media use
Assist with event promotion and execution

Creative Development

Brainstorm new content ideas and marketing initiatives
Research industry trends, competitors, and consumer preferences
Learn new creative tools, software, and marketing techniques
Assist with special projects assigned by the marketing team

Qualifications

Experience in social media, content creation, graphic design, photography, videography, or a related field is an asset
Proficiency in Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, or similar design software
Experience with Procreate is an asset
Strong photography and videography skills
Basic video editing experience preferred
Knowledge of social media platforms and current trends
Knowledge of Chinese social media platforms such as WeChat and RED (Xiaohongshu) is preferred
Strong communication and organizational skills
Creative, self-motivated, and eager to learn
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
