Experienced Payroll Administrator (Full-Time)

Salary: $55,000–$65,000 annually
Based on experience and specialized certifications

Are you an experienced Payroll Administrator who thrives in a fast-paced environment? We're looking for a detail-oriented professional to manage payroll for approximately 150–200 hourly employees in our busy, seasonal road construction company.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established team where accuracy, organization, and the ability to meet strict deadlines are highly valued.

Responsibilities

Process weekly payroll accurately and on time for 150–200 hourly employees
Review, verify, and reconcile employee time records
Ensure compliance with payroll legislation, company policies, and employment standards where applicable
Maintain employee payroll records and confidential information
Process payroll deductions, taxable benefits, ROEs, T4s, and year-end reporting
Work closely with management and accounting to support payroll and reporting requirements
Assist with additional administrative and accounting duties as required

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of payroll experience, preferably in construction or a high-volume environment
Experience processing payroll for a large hourly workforce
Strong knowledge of Canadian payroll legislation and statutory deductions
Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certification is considered a strong asset
Experience with payroll software and Microsoft Excel
Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize competing deadlines
Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently
