Proposal Writer(Construction Industry)
Location: West GTA
Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Reports To: Director of Business Development

I am currently recruiting for a Proposal Writer on behalf of a well-established construction firm specializing in new-builds, renovations and additions. This organization has built a strong reputation for ethical business practices, long-term partnerships, and high-quality project delivery across complex construction projects.
This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has experience managing multiple proposal submissions at various stages of completion.

Key Responsibilities

Support the pursuit of leads and opportunities that contribute to new business development.
Review and interpret Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Qualifications (RFQs), and Expressions of Interest (EOIs) to help develop response strategies and themes.
Assist with writing, editing, proofreading, and coordinating proposal submissions.
Ensure proposal documents and standardized company content meet formatting and brand guidelines.
Collaborate closely with internal teams to finalize content and coordinate production of submission packages.
Provide additional business development support as required.

Qualifications

Post-secondary education in Technical Writing, Marketing, Communications, Business, Journalism, or a related field. Knowledge of engineering or construction is considered an asset.
2-5 years of Canadian professional experience in proposal writing or professional business writing, including managing and developing corporate proposals. Experience within a construction environment is an asset.
Strong proposal writing skills, with the ability to prepare technical content.
Excellent reading comprehension and written/verbal communication skills in English.
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational ability.
Strong coordination and time-management skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced setting.
