Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Helper to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently. This position is perfect for individuals looking to gain experience in the food service industry, particularly within a Vietnamese restaurant setting. As a Kitchen Helper, you will assist cooks and chefs in food preparation and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen environment.

Duties

Assist in food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces.
Help cooks with basic cooking tasks as needed, ensuring all food is prepared according to safety standards.
Support the kitchen staff in stocking supplies and managing inventory.
Follow all food handling and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
Participate in cleaning duties at the end of shifts to prepare the kitchen for the next day’s operations.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a Vietnamese restaurant.
Knowledge of basic food handling and safety practices.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness.
Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude towards learning from experienced cooks and chefs.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
