Full job description

Job Title: Payroll Clerk (Centralized Payroll)

Job Summary

This role supports Payroll Analysts and Management in a centralized payroll environment, ensuring accurate retroactive pay adjustments and assisting with expense import files and quarterly bonus runs. Additionally, it contributes to process improvement initiatives and projects.

Responsibility

Calculate retroactive pay adjustments, pension adjustments, vacation payments, and other payroll adjustments
Preparation of Records of Employment
Preparation & import of expense import files
Assist with preparation of quarterly bonus runs and annual vacation pay runs
Support process improvement initiatives & projects
Open and distribute mail
Monitor and order office supplies
Other duties as assigned

Academic/Educational Requirements

Successful completion of secondary school or equivalent and related experience
CPA designation is an asset

Required Skills/Experience

Must have 1 – 2 years of previous payroll experience
Knowledge and understanding of payroll related legislation and employment standards
ADP WFN payroll system experience is an asset
Ability to work in a paperless computerized environment including advanced Excel and Word skills
Committed to continuous improvement and learning
Strong communication skills both verbal and written - ability to deal with individuals at different levels within the organization as well as government and law enforcement agencies
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities
