Deli & Lunchline Clerk

A well-prepared, high-quality deli and lunchline is at the heart of a great food experience. As a Deli & Lunchline Clerk, you will play an important role in delivering fresh, delicious food and exceptional customer service at Pete's Frootique & Fine Foods.

In this fast-paced, customer-facing role, you will serve customers at the deli and lunchline counters, prepare and package food items, and ensure products are presented attractively and maintained at the highest standards of freshness and quality. You will provide friendly, knowledgeable service while helping customers select items that best suit their needs.

You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and well-stocked service area, rotating product to ensure freshness, and supporting food safety standards at all times. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure are essential. This role requires flexibility and the ability to stay organized in a busy, service-driven environment. Applicants must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

Commitment to delivering outstanding customer service
Strong interest in food and prepared meals
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety standards
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative when needed
Previous deli, food service, or retail experience is considered an asset
