Full job description

About the Role

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented graphic designer to join our marketing team in Halifax, Nova Scotia. In this role, you will create visually engaging designs that help strengthen our brand across social media, digital advertising, print materials, external marketing projects, and customer-facing campaigns.

The ideal candidate has strong visual taste, understands how to design for attention and engagement, and can create clean, professional, on-brand graphics that stand out. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, taking creative direction, and bringing fresh ideas to the table.

Note: This is an in-person role in Halifax, Nova Scotia. We are not taking remote applicants at this time

Responsibilities

Design eye-catching graphics, thumbnails, advertisements and marketing visuals for social media and digital campaigns that execute core concepts of the marketing team's vision
Create engaging short-form videos for social media platforms (Reels, TikTok, Shorts, etc.) using professional editing software with strong attention to pacing, storytelling, and audience retention
Capture and edit behind-the-scenes footage, customer stories, educational videos, and promotional campaigns
Stay on top of current social media trends, viral formats, and platform updates to develop fresh content ideas
Write engaging captions and assist with content scheduling and publishing across social media platforms
Analyze content performance and continuously improve creative strategies based on results

Qualifications

1 year minimum of previous work in graphic design field using a variety of different creative software (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva, or Figma). Strong applicants without experience may be considered with adequate portfolio/work showcase
Experience creating content for social media platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube
Strong skills creating and editing videos using common industry tools (Sony Vegas, CapCut, DaVinci Resolve)
Great understanding of social media trends, hooks, storytelling, and audience engagement
Creative mindset with excellent visual taste and strong attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Bonus Skills

Experience running Meta or TikTok advertising creatives
Basic knowledge of SEO and social media analytics
Experience creating content for local service businesses or home service industries
Drone filming or advanced camera operation experience
Experience working with influencer or UGC-style content
