Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Breakfast Host/Hostess to join our hospitality team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests during breakfast hours, ensuring prompt and courteous service, and maintaining a clean and organized dining area. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in food service, guest relations, and hospitality operations within a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly upon arrival and seat them promptly
Manage guest waitlists and reservations efficiently using POS systems such as Micros POS
Take food and beverage orders accurately while providing exceptional customer service
Assist with food preparation and meal presentation as needed
Serve breakfast items, beverages, and handle cashiering duties including cash handling
Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, tables, and service stations in compliance with food safety standards
Refill supplies and ensure the buffet or serving stations are well-stocked throughout service
Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
Handle guest inquiries professionally, addressing concerns promptly to enhance guest satisfaction
Support other hospitality functions such as cleaning, restocking, and assisting with special events or hotel services

Requirements

Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality environments preferred
Knowledge of food handling safety standards and food safety protocols
Experience with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
Strong customer service skills with excellent communication abilities
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting during breakfast hours
Kitchen experience or restaurant experience is a plus, including food preparation and meal presentation skills
Hospitality background including hotel or barista experience is advantageous
Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly
Flexibility to work mornings during breakfast hours; weekend availability is a plus
Professional appearance and friendly demeanor to create a welcoming guest experience

Pay: From $17.60 per hour
