Opportunity: Excavator Operator

Schedule: 14/7 working up to 12 hours per day. Overtime opportunities available based on site requirements

Job Location: Various Oil Sands Sites (Suncor, Syncrude, CNOOC, and CNRL) – Fort McMurray, AB

Accommodations: Camp Available

Travel Allowance Provided

Key Responsibilities:

Safely operate excavators for excavation, trenching, ditching, loading, and backfilling activities.
Excavate and move materials according to project requirements and specifications.
Load trucks and support site preparation and earthworks operations.
Work safely around underground utilities and existing infrastructure.
Conduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance concerns.
Follow all company, client, and site-specific safety procedures.
Communicate effectively with ground personnel and other operators.
Maintain equipment cleanliness and complete required operational documentation.
Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

Must have a minimum of 1 year of experience on excavator
Positive attitude and willing to take direction from supervision.
Must have a valid Class 5 driver’s license and provide a 5-year driver's abstract that meets insurance requirements.
Must be able to pass a Drug & Alcohol test.
Self-motivated, flexible and proactive with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
On-site experience is an asset.
Strong safety culture.
Must have basic computer skills to complete online orientations.
Must have or be willing to obtain site-specific tickets
H2S Alive
CSO/CSTS 2020
Must be able to complete a criminal record check if required
