The Mackenzie Hotel in Inuvik is part of the IRC Group of Companies and stands as a cornerstone of regional hospitality. It offers a welcoming environment focused on cleanliness, customer service, and smooth day-to-day operations. Staff work together across departments like housekeeping, front desk, and management, with roles tailored to individual strengths. JOB SUMMARY

The Mackenzie Hotel is seeking friendly, professional, and service-oriented individuals to join our team as Front Desk Agents. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming and memorable experience. This position is responsible for guest check-in and check-out, handling reservations, addressing guest inquiries, and ensuring the smooth operation of the front desk.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Greet guests warmly and professionally, providing prompt and courteous service at all times.
Manage guest check-in and check-out procedures efficiently and accurately.
Handle reservations, cancellations, and modifications using hotel management software.
Respond to guest inquiries, requests, and concerns with professionalism and a problem-solving attitude.
Process payments, issue receipts, and maintain accurate records of transactions.
Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance to ensure guest needs are met.
Maintain a clean and organized front desk area.
Uphold hotel policies, safety protocols, and service standards.
Assist with administrative tasks and other duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS

Previous experience in a similar role or a background in hotel operations is advantageous.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Proficiency in using hotel management software and Microsoft Office applications.
Commitment to upholding high standards of guest service and supporting a positive team environment.
Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
