Overview

We are seeking a motivated Automotive Technician Apprentice to join our dynamic dealership team. This entry-level position offers hands-on experience in automotive repair and maintenance, providing a valuable pathway to develop your skills and advance your career in the automotive industry. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, dependable, and passionate about vehicle service and customer satisfaction. This paid apprenticeship provides comprehensive training under the guidance of experienced technicians, with opportunities to gain proficiency in various automotive systems and tools.

Duties

Assist senior technicians with diagnosing and repairing vehicles using hand tools, power tools, and schematics
Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid replacements
Support in the assembly and disassembly of vehicle components during repairs or upgrades
Learn to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams for vehicle systems
Conduct inspections to identify mechanical issues or safety concerns
Assist with welding and other specialized repair techniques as needed
Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety and efficiency
Follow dealership policies on heavy lifting and proper tool usage to ensure safety standards are met
Provide excellent customer service by communicating repair status and addressing customer questions when appropriate

Qualifications

Prior dealership experience or mechanical knowledge is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential
Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic automotive repair techniques
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely (up to 50 pounds) and work on your feet for extended periods
Basic understanding of automotive systems, schematics, and assembly processes is preferred
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Good communication skills and a customer service-oriented attitude
Ability to follow instructions carefully and work effectively as part of a team
High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or coursework related to automotive repair is advantageous

Pay: $22.00-$35.00 per hour
