Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring the integrity of our accounting data. This role requires proficiency in various accounting software and a strong understanding of bookkeeping principles to support the financial health of our organization.

Duties

Record and manage financial transactions using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero
Reconcile bank statements and accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoicing and payments
Perform account analysis to identify discrepancies or irregularities
Maintain organized financial records in compliance with company policies and regulations
Assist with budgeting processes and financial reporting as needed
Support payroll processing and related activities
Prepare reports on account status, cash flow, and other financial metrics for management review

Requirements

Proven experience with bookkeeping and accounting functions in a professional setting
Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar platforms
Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation, and account analysis
Knowledge of payroll processing and related compliance requirements
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and external vendors
Prior experience in budgeting and financial reporting is a plus
