Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Prep Cook/Dishwasher to join our dynamic kitchen team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our food service, contributing to both meal preparation and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to food safety, helping us deliver high-quality meals in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and standards.
Assist in meal preparation, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and preparing sauces.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, pots, and pans.
Ensure all food handling practices comply with health and safety regulations.
Help with inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting shortages.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during busy periods.
Follow all food safety guidelines to prevent contamination and ensure quality.

Qualifications

Previous experience in the food industry or food service is preferred but not required.
Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment operation is a plus.
Strong understanding of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent teamwork skills with a willingness to help others in the kitchen.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
