Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced FOH Assistant Manager/Supervisor to join our vibrant restaurant team. This leadership role is ideal for someone with a strong background in food service, hospitality, and team management. The successful candidate will oversee daily front-of-house operations, ensure exceptional customer service, and support the overall success of the restaurant. Previous experience in restaurant management, food industry standards, and hospitality environments is highly valued. A passion for food preparation, cooking, and maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness will be essential to excel in this role.

Duties

Supervise and coordinate front-of-house staff to deliver outstanding customer service
Oversee food preparation and serving processes to ensure quality and efficiency
Manage POS systems for accurate order processing and cash handling
Assist with interviewing, hiring, and training new team members
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
Monitor restaurant operations to maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards
Lead by example in hospitality excellence, including serving customers when needed
Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to enhance guest satisfaction
Support kitchen staff with coordination between front and back of house operations
Manage team schedules, assign duties, and supervise performance to foster a positive work environment

Experience

Proven supervising experience within the food service or restaurant industry
Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety protocols
Experience with POS systems
Demonstrated leadership skills in restaurant management or hospitality settings
Familiarity with cash handling procedures and customer service excellence
Previous roles involving team management, interviewing, and training staff
Experience working in hotel or barista environments is a plus but not required
Knowledge of food industry standards related to food handling, safety, and sanitation
Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail
