About Ontario Drive & Gear Limited

Here at Ontario Drive & Gear Limited we shape and mold metal into workable gears and shafts to help drive Tractors, Military Vehicles and much more. Ontario Drive & Gear Limted operates out of 75,000 sq. ft. facility in New Hamburg, Ontario.

About the job:

Ontario Drive & Gear (ODG) is seeking highly motivated and skilled CNC Machinists with at least five (5) years of experience operating a variety of CNC machines, particularly in milling and turning applications. The successful candidates will demonstrate a strong commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

Essential Duties:

The successful incumbents must be able to demonstrate the following essential duties

Read blueprints, manufacturing drawings and inspection sheets (GD&T; tolerances)
Able to perform machine set-ups
Perform Quality checks / Complete first off inspection and in process checks using measuring equipment provided (manual/digital; imperial/metric)
Able to read and interpret a CMM / Quality reports
Make tool offsets and part adjustments to meet quality requirement
Identify nonconforming parts and follow proper reporting procedures
Able to read CNC programs and perform edits

Educational and Work Experience Requirements:

OSSD or equivalent
5+ years experience operating CNC Machining equipment
