Job Summary

The successful candidate will operate their own vehicle to haul freight between our terminals in Western Canada.

Duties and Responsibilities

Oversee cargo handling and secure loads, including equipment preparation, application of safe practices, compliance with applicable Acts and regulations
Perform trip inspections on equipment operated and load, ensuring safety and roadworthiness
Comply with applicable legislation including safe operation, carriage of goods, driver's hours of service, occupational health and safety, transportation of dangerous goods, customs and immigration and weights and dimensions
Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions, following signals from loading crew as needed; check that vehicle position is correct and any special loading equipment is properly positioned.

Work Schedule/Shift

Full time runs hauling predominantly overnight hours.

Surrey - 11398 Bridgeview Drive, Surrey, BC

Qualification Requirements

Class 1 driver’s license
Clean COMMERCIAL driver’s abstract
Basic geographical knowledge of Western Canada
Professional attitude in all interactions representing the Company
Excellent communication skills
Available to work full time
MUST have minimum of 2 years or verified 150,000 kms experience
MUST have or be willing to obtain LCV certification

Compensation & Benefits

Wage is by mile with extra add on for wait time or drops
Comprehensive benefits package available including pension matching program upon successful completion of probationary period
