Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Childcare Worker to provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children, possess strong caregiving skills, and be committed to supporting their developmental needs. This role involves creating positive experiences that promote learning, socialization, and emotional well-being in a caring setting.

Duties

Supervise and monitor children during activities, playtime, and mealtime to ensure safety at all times
Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote early childhood development and learning
Assist children with daily routines such as dressing, hygiene, and nap times
Foster positive relationships with children to encourage confidence and social skills
Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's progress and daily experiences
Maintain a clean and organized environment conducive to safe play and learning
Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing individualized care as needed
Ensure adherence to all safety policies and procedures in the childcare setting

Requirements

Prior classroom experience or background in early childhood education is preferred
Experience working with children, including those with disabilities or special needs, is highly desirable
Strong teaching skills combined with patience, empathy, and excellent communication abilities
Knowledge of caregiving best practices and child development principles
Ability to create a positive, inclusive environment that encourages growth and exploration
Certification in CPR/First Aid is a plus but not mandatory; willingness to obtain certification if required
Reliable, responsible, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
