Outside Sales Representative – Service Sales:

Foothills Group Inc. is looking for an Outside Sales Representative to support growth in our Lethbridge and Sparwood markets. This is a salary position focused on building new business, strengthening customer relationships, and growing service revenue across commercial, heavy-duty, fleet, construction, and mining customers.
This role is not a desk sales position. We are looking for someone who is comfortable being in front of customers, visiting job sites, understanding service needs, and building long-term relationships that lead to repeat business.
The Lethbridge portion of this role will focus on service sales, customer relationship development, and bringing new commercial and fleet service customers into the business. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying opportunities, introducing Foothills Group’s service capabilities, following up with prospects, and maintaining strong relationships with existing customers.
The Sparwood portion of the role will focus on developing and maintaining relationships with mining customers. The objective is to support growth in mine-site service work, including opportunities for technician shifts, recurring maintenance support, repair work, and long-term customer partnerships.
The right person for this position will understand that strong sales comes from consistency, follow-up, trust, and customer service. We are not looking for someone who simply checks in occasionally. We are looking for someone who can actively build a market, create opportunities, and represent Foothills Group professionally in front of serious commercial and industrial customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Build and maintain strong relationships with commercial, fleet, construction, and mining customers.
Identify and pursue new service sales opportunities in the Lethbridge and Sparwood regions.
Develop new business by prospecting, visiting customers, following up on leads, and creating consistent market activity.
Promote Foothills Group’s heavy-duty repair, mobile service, maintenance, and mine-site support capabilities.
Work with internal service teams to understand customer needs and help coordinate service opportunities.
Maintain regular communication with customers to support retention, repeat work, and long-term growth.
Support the development of mine-site service opportunities, including technician shift growth and recurring service work.
Represent Foothills Group professionally during customer visits, site meetings, and business development conversations.
Track customer activity, opportunities, and follow-up requirements.
Ideal Candidate:
Experience in outside sales, business development, service sales, fleet sales, heavy equipment, trucking, mining, construction, or a related industry.
Comfortable prospecting and bringing on new business.
Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to communicate professionally with owners, managers, fleet supervisors, maintenance teams, and mine-site contacts.
Understands the importance of follow-up and consistent customer contact.
Self-motivated and able to manage a territory without needing constant direction.
Able to learn and communicate service capabilities clearly.
Organized, professional, and accountable.
Experience in heavy-duty repair, mobile service, mining, transportation, or equipment industries would be considered an asset.
