Job Overview
We are seeking skilled and dedicated Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. This role is integral to delivering exceptional dining experiences in a fast-paced, upscale dining environment. The successful candidate will possess strong culinary expertise, leadership qualities, and a passion for food preparation and presentation. The position offers an opportunity to work within a reputable establishment committed to culinary excellence and professional growth.

Duties

Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and presentation excellence
Assist in menu planning, development, and implementation for various dining services
Supervise kitchen staff during shifts, providing guidance on food preparation, safety, and efficiency
Manage inventory control, including ordering, stock rotation, and minimizing waste to ensure optimal kitchen operations
Oversee food safety compliance and maintain cleanliness standards in accordance with health regulations
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service flow during peak hours
Lead kitchen operations during assigned shifts, including managing time effectively and delegating tasks appropriately
Train new team members on food handling, safety procedures, and culinary techniques
Support dietary department requirements by preparing specialized menus or dishes as needed
Assist in kitchen management tasks such as shift management, inventory management, and maintaining operational standards

Experience

Proven experience in fine dining establishments or similar high-end culinary environments
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
Knowledge of inventory management, food safety protocols, and kitchen operations
Experience with menu planning, food service management, and culinary innovation
Familiarity with food industry standards including dietary restrictions, catering services, and restaurant experience
Skills in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management are essential

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Apprenticeship

Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
