Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Associate to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will support the accounting department by maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and assisting with various bookkeeping tasks. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes in an efficient, timely, and professional manner.

Duties

Perform monthly account reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial records.
Assist in managing accounts receivable and accounts payable processes.
Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks for data entry, invoicing, and reporting.
Completes and administers various reports and documents.
Maintain organized financial documents and records for easy retrieval.
Provides onsite bookkeeping assistance for clients, as requested.
Supports clients in providing introductory training to QuickBooks.
Providing exceptional and professional customer support (in person or virtual) for any client inquiries, questions, or concerns.
Collaborate with team members to streamline bookkeeping processes and improve efficiency.
Assist with the completion of client annual Tax Returns
Any other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills

Experience in book-keeping/accounting and/or completion of recent education in this field.
Proficiency in accounting principles and practices, with a focus on account reconciliation and analysis.
Experience with accounting software, particularly QuickBooks is required.
Skilled in Microsoft Office Suites
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial reporting.
Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while meeting deadlines.
Excellent organizational skills with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality of financial information.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact and assist with in-person and virtual office clients requests.
