Full job description

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Bookkeeper to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in accounting and bookkeeping, with proficiency in various accounting software. The Senior Bookkeeper will play a vital role in maintaining the integrity of our financial data and supporting assistance to the owner.

Responsibilities

Manage and maintain accurate financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, and Xero
Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes efficiently
Perform account reconciliations, including bank reconciliations, to ensure data accuracy
Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies or irregularities
Assist with payroll processing and related reporting requirements
Support budgeting activities by providing relevant financial data and analysis
Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures
Prepare detailed financial reports for management review
Collaborate with auditors during audits and provide necessary documentation
Maintain organized and up-to-date bookkeeping records

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or Senior Bookkeeper, with a strong understanding of accounting principles
Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar platforms
Solid knowledge of bookkeeping processes including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account reconciliation
Experience with bank reconciliation and account analysis
Ability to perform payroll functions accurately
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
Relevant certifications or degree in Accounting or Finance are preferred but not required

Pay: From $40,000.00 per year
