Full job description

Hyundai L&C Canada is a leading manufacturer of natural quartz surfaces with the most advanced, environmentally friendly manufacturing plant in North America. Our HanStone® Quartz product line is ideally suited for reception areas, conference rooms, countertops, vanities, bar tops, and other surfaces throughout commercial and residential interiors. Natural quartz, one of nature's hardest materials, is combined with high-quality polymer resin and pigment to produce a durable yet luxurious stone surface. These qualities have made HanStone® Quartz a premier choice around the world.

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our team. This is a one-year contract position with the potential to transition to a full-time permanent role based on business needs and individual performance.

Responsibilities

Act as a resource to Operations regarding accounting issues, reporting, and analysis.
Process purchase order requests, requests for payment, and issue cheques in a timely manner.
Track and confirm the accuracy of inventory.
Assist in maintaining financial records.
Compile financial data to support the preparation of balance sheets and other financial reports.
Provide support and assistance to external auditors, as required.
Maintain year-end working papers.
Maintain an up-to-date filing system to support bookkeeping and financial records.
Complete daily and month-end accounting transactions.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

College Diploma or Business Certificate in Accounting.
Proficiency with computerized accounting/ERP systems (SAP preferred).
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Previous experience in an accounting environment is considered an asset.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy while working under tight deadlines.
Effective communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization.
Excellent organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
