Full job description

Please note this is a temporary position.

We are seeking a full time, experienced, self-motivated and detail-oriented bookkeeper to work in our Coquitlam office.

Job Description: Accounts Payable

Duties and Responsibilities

Recording day to day Accounts Payable transactions and completing the posting process
Verifying that transactions are recorded in the correct day book, suppliers ledger, and general ledger
Bringing the books to the trial balance stage
Communicating with Suppliers
Working closely with the Accounting team to create and analyze financial reports.
Assist in other accounting and administrative duties

Requirements and skills: Proven bookkeeping experience.

· Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles

· Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records in an ERP/Epicor work environment.

· Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers

· Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software

· Proficiency in English and in MS Office

· Customer service orientation and negotiation skills

· High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

· BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration is an asset

Salary will be commensurate with education and experience level.
