Full job description

STC Warehousing is a company with a strong customer base and presence in the industry for almost 30 years. We are the trusted warehousing, shipping and logistics experts.

The company has a new position for a reliable Picker/Packer to work at one of our warehouses in Concord, ON.

Main activities include:

Scan bar code printed for the items and enter the Identification Number into and update the Warehouse Inventory
Locate and accurately pick from warehouse stock the customer order items
Verify the items for correct manufacturer, size, colour, style, quantity - Reviewing orders for accuracy and cross referencing with packing lists
Identify defects by inspecting the product for damages.
Record all picking errors on a log or verbally advise superior
Obtain, fold and place items neatly into cartons
Process all items that are to be returned to stock
Maintain and organize the work area to ensure cleanliness
Meet and exceed productivity and quality standards outlined by the company
Other duties as required

Skills & Abilities:

1-2 years of picking/packing experience an asset
Effective verbal and listening communications skills
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
Effective organizational skills
Must have the skills to efficiently and effectively manage time and carry out orders
Must possess the skills of coordinating with other departments
Must be compliant with all safety and legal documentation processes of a warehouse.

Working conditions:

Requires standing, lifting, twisting
Work under pressure
