Job Overview

PRIME YARD BUTCHER are on the lookout for a passionate and detail-oriented Meat Cutter/Butcher to join our food team. In this role, you'll be the expert behind preparing high-quality meats, ensuring they meet safety standards and customer expectations. Whether you're slicing, trimming, or packaging, your skills will help deliver fresh, delicious products to our customers.

Duties

Cut, trim, and prepare various types of meat according to established standards and customer requests.
Ensure all meat handling follows food safety regulations to maintain hygiene and quality.
Package meat products carefully for retail display or customer take-away, maintaining presentation standards.
Assist in inventory management by rotating stock and reporting shortages or spoilage issues promptly.
Maintain cleanliness of workstations and tools to uphold sanitation standards throughout your shift.
Provide friendly and helpful customer service by answering questions about meat cuts and preparation tips.
Support team members during busy periods to ensure efficient service and product availability.

Requirements

Previous experience in butchery, food handling, or kitchen environments is highly desirable.
Knowledge of meat cutting techniques, food safety procedures, and proper packaging methods.
Strong attention to detail to ensure precise cuts and quality control.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining safety standards.
Good communication skills for interacting with customers and team members effectively.
A proactive attitude with willingness to learn new skills related to food preparation and butchery.
Familiarity with the food industry and kitchen experience is a plus but not mandatory.
