Full job description

Job Overview:-

We are looking for a skilled Fish Cutter to cut, fillet, trim, and portion a variety of fresh fish according to company quality standards. The ideal candidate has experience using filleting knives, works efficiently while maintaining precision, and follows all food safety and sanitation requirements.

Key Responsibilities:-

Skillfully cut, fillet, and portioning of seafood items according to company standards and customer specifications.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, tools, and equipment in compliance with food safety regulations.
Assist in packaging finished products for retail or wholesale distribution.
Ensure all products meet quality standards before packaging or sale.
Follow safety protocols during all stages of fish processing to minimize hazards.
Support inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying supervisors of stock levels.
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks.

Key Requirements:-

Previous experience in the food industry, particularly in butchery, or kitchen operations preferred.
Knowledge of meat cutting techniques and fish filleting skills highly desirable.
Strong understanding of food safety practices and sanitation standards.
Ability to handle raw seafood safely and efficiently.
Excellent attention to detail to ensure product quality and presentation.
Good physical stamina for standing long periods and performing repetitive tasks.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and safety standards.
