The Company

Humanitas is a young, award-winning innovator startup based in Montreal, specializing in emergency response and resilient technologies. Working with a list of world-class industry leaders and researchers, our team specializes in advanced telecom, simulation, visualization, cybersecurity, swarming robotics, edge computing, and more. Our multidisciplinary team also endeavors to universalize our technology and expand their applications to routine use cases beyond edge scenarios.

We are looking for senior programmers willing to join programming to gaming, and who would join our journey and contribute to our quest.

Today we need a partner who would run the following area:

Design and develop C/C++ code - for Unreal Engine Implementation
Development of Linux Kernel modules
Work closely with other developers on end-to-end system design and integration.
Write unit and functional tests, debug applications and drivers, document architecture and implementation
Contribute to the architecture and design of other products
Comply with the project management routines in place.
Participate in the drafting of patents.
Review projects for accuracy and quality;
Learn to be the expert in topics not yet known.

The ideal partner would have:

Bachelor or Master Degree in Software or Computer Engineering or a similar area of expertise;
Strong experience with C/C++;
Experience with Unreal game engine;
Experience with simulation tools;
Solid background in computer science;
Flexibility and strong project/assigned tasks ownership;
Capability to adapt to organizational processes and to contribute to continuous improvement;
Strong aptitude to work and make decisions autonomously;
A result-oriented approach, strong planning, and organizational skills;
Rigorous and creative software development attitude;
Ability to troubleshoot problems;
Resourcefulness, dynamic and a team player attitude;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills (French or English)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $75,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
