Full job description

A1 Bus is seeking dedicated Daily School Bus Drivers in Nanaimo and Comox / Courtenay, British Columbia.

We are looking for someone who is patient yet firm, dependable and safety minded.

This is a yearly 10 month position. It requires daily commitment but offer job security and a flexible schedule. It is perfectly suited for stay-at-home parents, retirees, students, pastors or anyone looking for some extra income.

As a regular School Bus Driver you will work a split shift, driving approximately 2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the afternoon, with some additional hours available for field trips and charter work. You will be assigned a route that approximately falls between the hours of 7:30 am - 8:30 am in the morning and between 2:00 pm - 3:15 pm in the afternoon.

A1 Bus is a group transportation company operating in numerous cities throughout BC, with our office located in Vernon. The A1 Bus team is passionate about treating our customers and employees fairly, creating an enjoyable work atmosphere, building relationships, and making a difference in our community.

Driver Qualities: Professional, punctual, flexible, safe and fun!

Licensing Requirements: Class 2 with air endorsement or a Class 1.

Equipment: 20 to 48 passenger school buses

Pay: $28/hr

Note: an RCMP criminal record check for the vulnerable sector will be required before commencement of work. Drivers must also wear and be comfortable using a headset while driving.
