Job Opportunity: Commercial Millwork Project Manager
We are seeking an experienced Architectural Commercial Millwork Project Manager to join our team and support our continued success. About the Role:
As a Architectural Commercial Millwork Project Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing projects, ensuring quality craftsmanship, budget adherence, and timely completion. This position requires strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask, and proficiency in integrated software and CNC equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage commercial millwork projects from handoff through completion
- Review architectural drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and site conditions
- Coordinate drafting, engineering, production, finishing, delivery, and installation
- Communicate with general contractors, architects, suppliers, subcontractors, shop staff, and installers
- Track schedules, budgets, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
- Assist with or produce shop drawings using 3D cabinet design software; Homag iX specifically.
- Coordinate material ordering, hardware, subcontracted scopes, and project-specific requirements
- Ensure projects are completed to Benchmark standards and applicable AWMAC requirements
- Use ERP/project management software to track project progress, budgets, and tasks
Qualifications & Experience:
- Commercial millwork or architectural woodworking experience required. Shop experience is a strong asset.
- Ability to read and understand architectural drawings and millwork shop drawings
- Strong understanding of commercial casework, laminate, veneer, hardware, solid surface, wall paneling, and related millwork details
- Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple active projects
- Clear communication skills with both office and shop teams
- Able to work full-time in-office in Burnaby starting at 6:30 AM
Strong assets:
- AutoCAD experience
- Homag iX, Cabinet Vision, Microvellum, Mozaik, or similar 3D cabinet software experience
- Previous project management experience in a millwork company
- Previous shop experience as a cabinetmaker, benchman, or architectural woodworker
- Experience with AWMAC standards
- Experience using ERP or project management software
