Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a person who has a passion for food and cooking. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry, and/or sushi preparation, be dedicated to maintaining high standards of food quality and safety as a Sushi Chef/Cook

Responsibilities

Prepare a variety of sushi to be boxed and put in cold display case
Cooking sushi rice, making sushi, prepping sushi ingredients, washing, sanitizing and cleaning equipment and work area
Ensure all food safety and sanitation guidelines are followed during food preparation and service.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the food prep area, including proper storage of ingredients
Monitor and ordering sushi ingredients to maintain inventory
Provide excellent customer service

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or have 2 years of cooking experience and willing to be trained
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and food handling techniques.
Ability to work efficiently and independently while maintaining attention to detail.
Good knife skills
A passion for culinary arts with a willingness to learn and adapt.
Good communication skills
Must be able to work morning shifts

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.00-$26.00 per hour
