Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Garage Door Salesperson to join our team. This role involves engaging with clients, presenting high-end garage door products, and providing exceptional service to drive sales and enhance customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, sales experience, and a keen understanding of renovation and construction projects. Multilingual abilities are a plus to serve a diverse clientele. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on outside and inside sales, product demonstrations, and account management.

Duties

Engage with potential customers through outside sales efforts, including visiting clients at their locations and participating in community marketing events.
Conduct product demos of garage doors, showcasing features, benefits, and customization options using tools like SketchUp or CAD when needed.
Manage inside sales activities such as POS transactions, cash handling, and retail sales in the showroom.
Upsell premium products and accessories by identifying customer needs during consultations.
Negotiate pricing and terms to close sales effectively while maintaining high customer satisfaction.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients through account management practices.
Assist customers with renovation or construction projects by providing expert advice on garage door solutions.
Support merchandising efforts to ensure displays are appealing and informative.
Utilize organizational skills to track leads, follow up on inquiries, and manage sales pipelines efficiently.

Experience

Proven experience in outside sales, retail sales, or inside sales within the renovation or construction industry preferred.
Familiarity with high-end product demonstrations and upselling techniques.
Experience using SketchUp, CAD software, or POS systems is advantageous.
Strong negotiation skills coupled with excellent communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus.
Knowledge of merchandising, marketing strategies, and customer service best practices.
Basic math skills for handling transactions and estimating project costs.
Prior experience in account management or product demos related to garage doors or similar home improvement products is desirable. This role offers an engaging environment where your sales expertise can thrive while helping customers enhance their homes with quality garage door solutions.

Pay: $17.20-$50.29 per hour
