Full job description

VAC Developments is a Canadian Aerospace and Defense Manufacturing Company located in Oakville. We are seeking a Tool Crib Attendant to join our Team!

Responsibilities:

Maintains/grind cutting tools for CNC Department.
Sets up CNC Machining holders with appropriate equipment.
Prepare tooling kits for production runs so they are ready per the production schedule.
Issues tools and equipment and maintains records of tools and equipment issued and returned.
Work with Purchasing to order out of stock tools and parts and ensure safety stock is in place.
Pre-set tool lengths in preparation for scheduled production runs.
Regrind and shape end mills and drills as necessary to ensure they are properly sharpened and calibrated for use.
Receives, unpacks, and stores incoming tools and equipment, and requisitions stock to replenish inventory.

Qualifications:

Certificate from college or technical school; or 2+ years related experience
Previous CNC Mill and/or Lathe experience with an understanding of the various types of machine tools

Oakville, ON L6H 5S3: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

tool room: 2 years (preferred)
cnc tools: 2 years (preferred)
with CNC machines Mill/Lathe: 2 years (preferred)
