Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Experienced Dog Groomer to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will provide professional grooming services to a variety of dog breeds, ensuring each pet looks and feels their best. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in grooming, excellent customer service skills, and the physical ability to handle the demands of the job. This position offers an opportunity to work in a friendly, pet-focused environment where your expertise makes a difference in our clients’ lives.

Responsibilities

Perform grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and styling cuts tailored to each dog’s breed and owner preferences
Ensure the safety and comfort of pets throughout the grooming process
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of grooming tools and work area
Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about grooming needs and care instructions
Manage appointment schedules efficiently to maximize productivity
Handle heavy lifting when necessary for large or heavy breeds during grooming procedures
Keep detailed records of each pet’s grooming history and special requirements

Experience

Proven experience as a professional dog groomer with a strong portfolio of completed work
Knowledge of various dog breeds and their specific grooming standards
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their pets
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and comfortably as part of grooming large or heavy breeds
Strong attention to detail, patience, and compassion for animals
Certification from a recognized grooming program is preferred but not required; relevant experience is essential
