About Us
We are a well-established retirement home committed to providing high-quality care and a supportive, respectful environment for our residents. We are seeking an experienced and dependable professional to join our leadership team as a second-in-command, supporting the day-to-day operations of the home.

Position Overview
The Lead Health Care Aide serves as the primary support to the General Manager and plays a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the residence. This position requires a hands-on leader who is highly organized, proactive, and capable of stepping in to oversee operations in the absence of the General Manager.

Key Responsibilities

Support the General Manager in overseeing daily operations of the retirement home
Act as the second-in-command and assume leadership responsibilities as required
Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures (e.g., RHRA, Public Health)
Support staff scheduling, performance, and day-to-day supervision
Assist with resident relations, including addressing concerns and maintaining high satisfaction
Support administrative functions including documentation, reporting, and internal communications
Monitor operational efficiency, including staffing, service delivery, and general workflow
Participate in audits, inspections, and continuous quality improvement initiatives
Assist with onboarding, training coordination, and ensuring staff compliance with required certifications
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Requirements

Experience in retirement home, long-term care, or healthcare operations
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities

Mandatory Requirements:

Must be able to reliably commute to the residence location
Must be willing and able to complete all required training and onboarding, both initially and on an ongoing basis, as required

Aperçu du poste

Le ou la préposé(e) principal(e) aux soins agit à titre de principal soutien du directeur général ou de la directrice générale et joue un rôle essentiel dans le bon fonctionnement de la résidence. Ce poste exige un leader pratique, très organisé, proactif et capable d'assurer la supervision des opérations en l'absence du directeur général ou de la directrice générale.

Principales responsabilités

Soutenir le directeur général ou la directrice générale dans la supervision des activités quotidiennes de la résidence.
Agir à titre de deuxième responsable et assumer les responsabilités de gestion lorsque requis.
Veiller au respect de toutes les lois, normes, politiques et procédures applicables (p. ex. ORCA, Santé publique).
Soutenir la planification des horaires, la gestion du rendement et la supervision quotidienne du personnel.
Participer aux relations avec les résidents, notamment en répondant à leurs préoccupations et en favorisant un haut niveau de satisfaction.
Appuyer les fonctions administratives, notamment la documentation, les rapports et les communications internes.
Surveiller l'efficacité opérationnelle, y compris les effectifs, la prestation des services et le déroulement général des activités.
Participer aux audits, aux inspections et aux initiatives d'amélioration continue de la qualité.
Contribuer à l'accueil et à l'intégration des nouveaux employés, à la coordination de la formation et au suivi des certifications et exigences obligatoires du personnel.
Effectuer toute autre tâche connexe, selon les besoins.

Qualifications et exigences

Expérience en résidence pour personnes retraitées, en soins de longue durée ou dans le domaine des opérations en soins de santé.
Excellentes aptitudes en organisation, en résolution de problèmes et en communication.
Capacité à gérer plusieurs priorités simultanément.

Exigences obligatoires

Être en mesure de se déplacer de façon fiable jusqu'à la résidence.
Être disposé(e) et en mesure de suivre toute la formation et le processus d'intégration requis, tant au moment de l'embauche que de façon continue, selon les exigences.

Pay: $23.00 per hour
