Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Food Service Worker to join our team. This role involves providing excellent guest service, preparing and serving food, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in food service, strong customer service skills, and a good understanding of food safety and sanitation standards. This position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced hospitality setting where teamwork and efficiency are valued.

Responsibilities

Take customer orders accurately using POS systems such as Micros POS, ensuring efficient transaction processing and cash handling.
Prepare and serve food items according to established recipes and safety standards, maintaining proper food handling procedures.
Provide exceptional guest services by greeting customers, answering questions, and upselling menu items when appropriate.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, dining areas, and kitchen equipment in compliance with health regulations.
Manage time effectively to ensure timely food preparation and service during busy periods.
Assist with basic food preparation tasks, including assembling ingredients and portioning items as needed.
Handle cash register operations, including cashiering duties, basic math calculations, and balancing cash drawers at the end of shifts.
Support team members in maintaining a welcoming environment for guests and ensuring high levels of guest satisfaction.

Requirements

Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided.
Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
Understanding of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
Ability to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and order accuracy.
Experience with food preparation, serving, cashiering, or hospitality roles is advantageous.
Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours including during busy meal times. This position provides an engaging opportunity for individuals passionate about the food industry who enjoy working in a team-oriented environment focused on delivering excellent guest experiences.

Pay: $17.60 per hour
