Full job description

Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable and safety-focused Scrap Car Hauler to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for picking up, securing, transporting, and delivering scrap or end-of-life vehicles to designated scrapyards, recycling centers, or storage facilities. The ideal candidate has experience operating flatbeds, roll-offs, or tow trucks, understands vehicle loading and securement procedures, and demonstrates professionalism and efficiency on every job.

Schedule

Monday to Friday with alternating weekends 7am-6pm

Key Responsibilities:

Safely load, secure, and transport scrap vehicles from various locations to designated drop-off sites.
Operate towing equipment (flatbed, wrecker, or tilt-deck) in compliance with company and safety regulations.
Perform pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle and equipment are in good working condition.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and scrapyards to coordinate pickups and deliveries.
Maintain accurate logs of pickups, deliveries, and required paperwork (weight tickets, receipts, manifests, etc.).
Follow environmental, safety, and transportation laws and company policies.
Handle scrap vehicles responsibly, ensuring proper safety and environmental handling procedures.
Provide courteous and professional service at all times.

Qualifications:

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Experience in towing, hauling, or scrap vehicle transportation preferred.
Knowledge of vehicle loading, securement, and weight distribution.
Ability to operate winches, chains, straps, and other securement equipment safely.
Strong time-management and communication skills.
Physically capable of handling heavy loads and working outdoors in various weather conditions
Must have own CSA-approved steel toe shoes or boots

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 50 – 55 per week
