Full job description

Your Opportunity:

Reports to CLSS Supervisor, Manager & LIC MLT II. Initial point of contact for lab services for internal/external clients at a provincial level. Assists monitoring of worklists & communicates critical test results. Responds to incoming HCP calls for test results. Performs/documents duties. Performs add-on testing requests. Displays excellent phone etiquette, clear/concise communication. Ensures patient confidentiality. Notifies patients & HCP of cancelled blood testing using work list. Arranges patient recollections. Faxes notifiable micro tests. Monitors APL Right Fax 300+ accounts. Completes access requests & faxed in requests. Manages PSC Privacy Breaches for incorrect patient requisitions. Other duties as assigned. This position is primarily intended to provide weekend night shift coverage and is scheduled to work every Saturday night and Sunday night. In addition to the weekend night shifts, the successful candidate will be scheduled for weekday shifts to support operational needs, staffing coverage, and departmental workload requirements. Please note that the schedule may be adjusted or changed based on operational requirements and business needs.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.

Additional Required Qualifications:

As required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Related post-secondary ed. (E.g. Medical Office Assistant, Unit Clerk, Lab Assistant). Advanced MS Office Suite - Excel, MS Word, Outlook, MS Teams. Any CDN equivalency to English 30/33 or CLBS benchmark 8 completed within last 6 mos. Call Centre Experience. Exp. with Epic/Beaker CIS. Courses or certificates in personal leadership, customer service and/or process excellence. Knowledge of medical terminology.
