FIRST COOK - TREETOP TAPAS

JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the Treetop Chef, this culinary role supports the kitchen team at Treetop Tapas & Grill, located within the Grotto Spa, in preparing and delivering the signature small plates that make up the endless, coursed tapas dining experience.

This hands-on role prepares, cooks, and plates dishes according to established course sequences and timing while maintaining standards for quality, consistency, presentation, and portioning throughout service.

The role works collaboratively with Culinary Team Members to coordinate the flow of each course, support smooth and efficient kitchen operations, and maintain clean, organized work areas while following established food safety and sanitation standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare, cook, and plate menu items according to established course sequences, timing, recipes, presentation, portion, and quality standards.
Prepare ingredients, sauces, garnishes, and other components to support efficient and consistent service.
Monitor food quality, presentation, timing, and portion control throughout preparation and service.
Maintain clean, safe, organized, and properly stocked workstations and kitchen areas.
Work collaboratively with Chefs and Culinary Team Members to coordinate course timing and support smooth and efficient kitchen operations.
Follow all food safety, sanitation, personal hygiene, workplace safety, and company standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

Available to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
Previous culinary experience, including food preparation and cooking in a professional kitchen, is considered an asset.
Red Seal certification or recognized culinary training is considered an asset.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Reliable, flexible, and able to work collaboratively as part of a team while following direction.
Positive, professional, and receptive to coaching, feedback, and continued learning.

Pay Rate: $22.55 - $24.75 per hour plus gratuities
