About Us

Shwe Miikaan Limited Partnership uniquely represents the three First Nations communities of Shawanaga, Magnetawan, and Henvey Inlet, dating back to 2016. Through this partnership, the Partner Nations offer labour, support services, and some equipment while Miller offers training, resources, and expertise as a qualified MTO provider.

Shwe Miikaan is dedicated to fostering equal participation of Robinson Huron Treaty Territory (RHTT) First Nations in Northern Ontario’s infrastructure projects. We recognize the importance of traditional and reserve lands and work in partnership to ensure their protection and consideration in all development efforts.

Since it was formed, Shwe Miikaan Miller has been engaged in a variety of projects ranging from bridge and culvert rehabilitation to road development to aggregate supply

Minimum Qualifications:

Class DZ license
Road maintenance experience and knowledge of OTM book 7
Mechanically inclined to operate small tools and heavy equipment
Willingness to remain on call and work assigned day, night and weekend shifts

Preferred Qualifications:

Ability to lift 50lbs
Basic computer skills

Day in the Life

As a truck driver, you will begin to know the highways like the back of your hand, as you will be responsible for transporting precious cargo, operating and driving straight and articulated trucks, loading/unloading materials, and operating tack trucks for paving operations. Strong communications skills will also be necessary as you coordinate with clients, customers and dispatch.

When you are not driving, you will be conducting daily circle checks on vehicles, cleaning, and performing equipment maintenance but safety will be your number one priority. It will also be important to stay organized when completing daily timesheets and log books.

Enjoy the sunny weather and beautiful views of Northern Ontario while operating state of the art equipment, traveling around the province.

Compensation Data

$28-$32/hr
