Salary: Competitive, based on experience

Location: Penticton, British Columbia

Position Overview

As an Automotive Sales Consultant, you will manage all sales activities from greeting customers to closing sales. Your role requires strong communication skills, charisma, and detailed product knowledge. We provide comprehensive training to ensure you have the tools to succeed.

Responsibilities

Greet customers on the sales floor and perform a thorough needs analysis to understand their preferred vehicle type and features.
Explain vehicle features and demonstrate operation in the showroom or during test drives.
Research model availability and optional equipment using dealership databases.
Negotiate sales prices, including taxes, trade-in allowances, license fees, discounts, and financing or lease terms with Sales and F&I Managers.
Inspect inventory regularly by walking the lot to maintain product knowledge.
Complete sales paperwork accurately and coordinate vehicle delivery and registration.
Deliver vehicles to customers and familiarize them with their new purchase.
Attend required training sessions and departmental meetings.
Maintain regular and predictable attendance.

Job Requirements:

Minimum of one year of related sales experience or equivalent education and experience.

Strong sales abilities with excellent communication and customer service skills.

Ability to speak a second language is preferred.

Organized with strong follow-up skills to maintain client relationships before and after sales.

Valid driver’s license is required.

Basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
