Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. This role involves preparing ingredients, cooking menu items, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, excellent kitchen skills, and experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This position offers an opportunity to develop culinary skills and contribute to a vibrant dining experience.

Responsibilities

Prepare ingredients and assist in meal preparation according to recipes and quality standards
Cook menu items efficiently while maintaining consistency and presentation standards
Handle food safely and follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene
Assist with food plating, garnishing, and presentation for service
Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment throughout shifts
Support the team during busy hours by ensuring timely food delivery
Follow all health and safety regulations related to food service and kitchen operations
Assist with inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying management of stock needs

Skills

Proven experience in serving, food preparation, or cooking within a restaurant or food service environment
Strong knowledge of food handling, safety protocols, and sanitation standards
Ability to perform meal preparation efficiently in a fast-paced setting
Excellent knife skills and familiarity with kitchen equipment
Good understanding of the food industry standards for quality and safety
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team under pressure
Strong attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and organization
Prior restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential

Pay: $18.25-$19.00 per hour
