Introduction We are looking for a full-time Cost Estimator to join either our Saskatoon, Regina, or Calgary team! This position will report to the Manager of Project Services. Position Overview
Primary Responsibilities

Prepare detailed estimates of probable costs for materials, labour, and equipment for construction and industrial projects using contract bids, quotations, drawings, and specifications.
Apply tendering procedures, analyze bids, recommend award decisions, and support negotiation activities.
Establish and maintain tendering processes, including cost monitoring and reporting systems.
Prepare cost and expenditure statements, forecasts, and progress updates throughout project lifecycles.
Liaise with engineers, architects, clients, contractors, and subcontractors to validate scope, resolve discrepancies, and assess cost impacts.
Conduct economic feasibility reviews for design changes and cost adjustments.
Coordinate construction project activities and prepare construction progress schedules.
Leverage cost estimator experience to enhance cost accuracy, risk assessment, and procurement alignment for complex industrial projects.
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

A bachelor's degree in engineering or a diploma in engineering technology is required
Several years of experience as a qualified tradesperson in a construction trade, such as plumbing, carpentry or electrical, are required
Must be able to work as part of a team and independently
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work effectively within a cross-functional team environment
Detail-oriented with a passion to create high-quality deliverables
