Full job description

We are seeking dependable and hardworking Green Corn Receiving Operators to support harvest operations in a fast-paced agricultural environment. This role is responsible for receiving, processing, drying, storing, and conditioning seed while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Receive and process trucks delivering crop from the field.
Weigh incoming loads and ensure information is accurately entered into computer systems and scale tickets.
Safely direct and unload carriers in the receiving facility.
Verify crop varieties and maintain product quality standards.
Collect crop samples using truck probes and conduct quality checks.
Perform harvest-related tasks, including husking and sorting operations.
Operate drying equipment according to safety and quality requirements.
Shell and transfer crop for storage within dryer facility bins.
Maintain a continuous supply of seed to downstream processing operations.
Apply seed treatments as required.
Follow established operating procedures and safety guidelines at all times.
Assist with general housekeeping and maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

Ability to work safely while maintaining product quality standards.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions.
Adaptable to changing work conditions and operational demands.
Excellent reliability and attendance record.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Positive attitude, honesty, professionalism, and respect for others.
Ability to pass a background check and any required pre-employment screenings.
Reliable transportation and ability to arrive on time for scheduled shifts.
Willingness to work long hours, rotating shifts, and overtime as required.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.
Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 60 lbs.
Frequent repetitive lifting and repetitive motion activities.
Ability to safely operate forklifts.
Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Ability to walk and work on uneven surfaces.

Pay: $18.25 per hour
